KNAPP | Pick-it-Easy-Robot for Food Retail

Automated single item picking in the food retail sector? No problem for our Pick-it-Easy Robot!

Berkshire Grey | Robotic Picking

The heart of every pick, pack, and sort solution that lets you reimagine work is a robotic pick cell. Berkshire Grey’s piece picking robots feature industrial robotic arms with smooth and natural 6-DOF optimized motions for maximum efficiency. Our robots make fluid and dynamic movements in contrast to the “rote” motions of other industrial robots.

To achieve this level of natural motion complexity, we pair the robots with proprietary engineered hardware and rewrite the lowest-level software drivers on the robots. We’ve conducted extensive kinematic reachability analysis, which allows us to select the smallest and fastest possible robot to reach the full workspace contained within our pick cells.

This is not something standard robot integrators do, so their robots are typically oversized or underpowered and consequently much slower.

Articulated Robots - Unloading/(De)Palletizing

FANUC | StrongPoint Automation | Multi-line Robotic Palletizing and Stretch Wrapping System

FANUC America Authorized System Integrator StrongPoint Automation developed this robotic system to utilize two FANUC M-410iC/185 palletizing robots with servo-actuated End of Arm Tools to palletize products from three lines. Cases are metered into three infeeds using a dual stage meter belt where rows of product are created for robotic palletizing. A pneumatically actuated case bump turner is used to orient cases for particular pattern requirements. This method of row forming allows a single pick of similar cases along the long side or the narrow side leading case.

ABB | Robotic Depalletizer

Mujin Corp | TruckBot

TruckBot is an autonomous robot that can unload both truck trailers and shipping containers at a rate of up to 1,000 cases per hour. This revolutionary warehouse innovation was designed to attach to standard telescoping conveyors found at many existing loading docks. It reaches up to 52 feet into the truck trailer or shipping container and can handle boxes weighing up to 50 lbs, including containers with packing complexities and mixed SKU loads.

Pickle Robot | Pickle Unload

The loading dock is a physically demanding work environment: it’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter, boxes are heavy, injuries are common, and turnover is high. We’ve designed a robot that helps people work faster and smarter - it reliably unloads non-palletized goods at 600+ PPH and is getting faster every day. Our pilot deployments are in production at multiple customers and expanded commercial deliveries will commence in early 2023.

The SSI Carrier assures a very gentle transport of products, requires minimal footprint, guarantees highest storage density and offers high scalability and flexible system expansions through a modular, customizable design.

BEUMER Group | BG Pouch System

Every touch of an item incurs costs and to add to the pain, many distribution centres are short of space to handle the increasing number of e-commerce items. The BG Pouch System can be installed in unused overhead space where single items can be buffered, sorted and sequenced to automate the order handling and returns processes. With a capacity of over 10,000 items/hour and its vast combination of benefits, logistics operators can achieve handling with very few manual item touches. The result is a higher throughput and very little use of floor-space.

Sortation - Trays/Cross-Belts

BEUMER Group | BG Sorter CB (Cross Belt)

The BG Sorter CB (cross belt) offers a reliable solution for sorting any kind of items, such as parcels or bagged goods. The so-called "full cross belt design" means that the maximum belt width is ensured. The customers' benefit: More usable belt surface is available with the same sorter size. This permits handling a wide mix of goods easily and safely. The risk of products lying between the belts is reduced. The E-Tray version (tilt tray) also offers many advantages. An improved tilt tray design prevents items from getting stuck between the trays, which helps to avoid collisions and downtimes.

Dematic | FlexSort Crossbelt SC3

Typical applications for Dematics circular sorters include:

  • Batch pick and sort order consolidation
  • Crossdocking
  • Interlink connecting functional areas
  • Sort to outbound parcel shipper, area code, or route
  • Sort to outbound shipping doors

MHS Global (Fortna) | HC-Loop Double Cell Cross-Belt

Versatility meets flexibility with the HC-Loop Double Cell. This sorter gives operations a reliable solution to handle small items like flyers, polybags and shoe boxes, while maintaining the flexibility to handle larger packages like electronics or office supplies. Precise diverts enable narrower chutes for a compact total footprint, while achieving up to 99.99% sortation accuracy

EuroSort | Split Tray Sorter | Pitney Bowes

The EuroSort Split Tray (Bomb Bay) Sorter, like other bomb bay sorters, discharges items through the tray and into the chute or outbound carton and that’s where the similarities end. Unlike similar bombay sorters on the market, EuroSort’s patented tray design allows items to discharge completely flat into the outbound carton or chute. Not only does this increase our sort accuracy, meaning less re-work and sort errors, but it also reduces the size of your unit sorter, or can allow you to fit more destinations in the same space. More destinations = more efficiency in your operation. Compared to other unit sorters on the market today, this can translate to up to a 50% space savings in your facility, or up to a 50% increase in the size of your pick wave. Worried about throughput? Don’t be! EuroSort’s Split Tray Sorters can achieve from 5,000 items/hour all the way up to 35,000 items/hour depending on your configuration.

EuroSort | Cross Tray Sorter

EuroSort has developed the Cross Tray Sorter - an industry disruptive technology aimed at addressing the shortcomings of other high-speed unit sorters for non-conveyable, fragile, and lightweight items. Using a positive mechanical divert that can sort both left and right and a simple and reliable divert mechanism that avoids expensive motors in the carriers, the Cross Tray Sorter can sort previously unsortable items at throughputs of up to 9,600 items/hour.

Duerkopp (KNAPP) | Split Tray Sorter

The Split Tray consists of horizontally connected trays (transport trays) onto which the goods to be sorted are automatically or manually placed. The parts are detected via barcode. At the target point, the tray opens and drops the item into a tote, a carton or onto a chute. It is possible to modify this principle function with various options.   The flaps open independently of each other so that two items on one tray (e.g. T-shirts) can be sorted to different destinations. Large parts (e.g. jeans) can be placed over the entire tray. The system recognizes this automatically and then opens both flaps synchronously at the target.
